Here are the top ten articles for the Bellydancing Site! These rankings are live and get reset at the beginning of each month, so check back often to see what your fellow visitors are most interested in!

1. The Arabian Nights Parts I and II
Now it is time for storytelling at its finest. In this discussion, I will refer to the storyteller Shahrzad, in the Persian transliteration. The first parts are "The Merchant and the Genie" and "The History of the Fisherman".

2. Understanding Scheherazade
It has been awhile since I last spoke of the Arabian Nights. There is a reason for it. I've read so much into the story, that I don't want to finish. Scheherazade and her stories amaze me. As dancers, we should at least try to know her, this fascinating woman who inspires the music and our dance.

3. Come Together over Dance
Most dances today are a fusion of the old and the new. Call it what you like, disagree, or embrace it, new fusions are here to stay. It is important that as dancers, artists and teachers, we come together for the love of dance.

4. Belly Dancer Andrus Ramir
Artists face many challenges that make them stronger and wiser. Their stories in turn inspire future artists/dancers to take that first step into becoming the next generation of amazing performers. Andrus Ramir is known in the belly dance community and he is a true inspiration.

5. A Glimpse of the Belly Dancer, Mata Hari
Mata Hari was known as the exotic dancer, who was later executed for being a spy, but little is known of her contribution to dance.

6. The Veil and You
Dancing with the veil is essential in belly dancing. Like other props, the veil and the dancer are one. These are just a few suggestions if this is your first time.

7. Christmas Deals for Belly Dancers
You donīt need me to tell you about this crazy economic situation. However, from this mess comes good deals that you canīt pass. Right now is the time to check out the discounts by going online. Donīt wait too long, for Christmas is just around the corner.

8. Facial Expressions
As dancers twirl and shake their hips, their face is also performing. Facials tell everything about the dancer. Just like "hips don't lie", neither does the face.

9. Music Inventory
At times, I even surprise myself. A couple of days ago, I was in a panic frenzy when I realized I had no music for my workout class.

10. First Annual MECDA Professional Dance Conference
I am proud to say that I was one of the first participants at the first annual MECDA Professional Dance Conference. What an amazing five days in California with the best of the best instructors.
